About
My name is Jeannie An and I am a business librarian at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. I have been a librarian for several years now and really enjoy working at McMaster University. My previous library experience includes working as the public services librarian, Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto and as a information specialist for the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Government of Ontario.
What I enjoy most about my job is the variety and the satisfaction of collaborating with faculty and librarians to help students engage in their studies and receive the best education possible. I’m currently working on improving library instruction for business and I would like to ultimately develop and teach a course on “Information Literacy for Business students” (working title)
My other interests include music (singing, playing piano and flute) and my most recent addiction is watching all the series and episodes of 24 backwards. I started watching the current season and wanted to see the previous seasons so when the first season was not available, I went backwards. I just finished the 3rd season. I don’t know what it is about 24, but I now have my whole family into this!
